The Vassar Club of Texas invites you to join us in Austin for an exclusive tour of the Blanton Museum of Art led by Sarah Bane ’10, Assistant Curator of Prints and Drawings, followed by a meet-up at the nearby Crown & Anchor Pub.

Get to know your fellow Brewers, enjoy some world-class art in the modern (and air-conditioned!) confines of the Blanton, and swap stories over a beer or a burger at one of UT’s favorite haunts. All ages are welcome at both venues.

Blanton Museum details: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m CT
A work on loan from the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College—The Horns of the Landscape by Arshile Gorky—aptly enough, will be on display at the Blanton, as will a special selection of works on paper Sarah will discuss in the HEB Study Room.

• Museum admission is $15 for non-members and free for members and UT students, faculty, and staff. Purchase tickets in advance or pay at the door.
• We’ll meet outside of the check-in building, near the Moody Patio and Michener Gallery Building, at 11:00 a.m.
• The tour will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will last 1 hour and 15 minutes.
• If there are more than 20 registrants Sarah will lead two tours, lasting 1 hour each, starting at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
• If you would like more time to explore, your ticket grants you access to the museum for the full day, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Space is limited. Don’t wait to register!

Crown & Anchor details: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. CT
Following the museum tour, there will be a meetup at the Crown & Anchor Pub a favorite neighborhood spot of the University of Texas West Campus/Hyde Park Area with award-winning burgers.

• It is a 20-minute walk from Blanton to Crown & Anchor. Free and paid parking is available at C&A.
