Built in 1907, Jewett House completed the north end of the residential quadrangle. Its most famous resident was the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, Edna St. Vincent Millay ’17, who allegedly threatened to throw herself from Jewett’s battlements. Extensively renovated in 2003 with enhanced living spaces and public areas, Jewett is home to 235 students.
