We’ll walk through the different ways you can start your journey into the classroom like Master’s programs, Intern Programs, and Teacher Residencies. A rep from the Marshall Teacher Residency will be there to share tips and answer your questions. Learn more about us and gain valuable insight into the preparation options available and the steps needed to pursue a successful career in teaching.

2025 SMBC Explore

This event is open to all and provides an exclusive opportunity for participants to interact directly with business professionals at SMBC who have a wealth of experience in their respective fields. This is a great opportunity to learn more about SMBC, our emphasis on a culture of inclusion, and why our firm is a great place for professional development and career growth. We will be hosting two summits on August 29 and September 5 through a virtual platform. When submitting your application, please let us know your date of preference. Program Elements SMBC Explore 2025 features a full day program designed to introduce you to SMBC and to each other – all within a convenient virtual setting for this year’s program offering Learn about our internship and analyst programs, recruitment timeline, and our various businesses Panel discussions and mock interviews with former summer interns, managers, and senior leaders at the firm Introduction to our Inclusion & Belonging team, and our Enterprise Resource Groups (ERGs) Professional skills-building workshops Interactive breakout sessions for networking Preferred Qualifications Current undergraduate sophomore-junior students (graduation must fall between Dec 2026 and May 2028) All majors are welcome to apply Strong interest in a career within financial services Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely Outstanding ethics, integrity, judgment, and intellectual curiosity You will not require sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa) to work for SMBC How to Apply Submit your application here by August 15 at noon ET If you are selected, we will release the date, time, and virtual link to you by August 22.
