SMBC Information Session: Meet Our Senior Leaders with Sandra Dorsey

    We invite all students who are completing an undergraduate degree. From learning about our SMBC brand, our businesses, and Intern and Analyst programs to gaining insights into the interview process, we are confident that you will be better prepared for your career journey.

Sandra Dorsey is the Head of Inclusion & Belonging of the Americas Division. She is responsible for educating employees on the value of having an inclusive culture and how this impacts business success. Sandra’s team is responsible for consulting with the SMBC Enterprise Resource Groups who help to inform the firm on how it can better attract and retain talent. SMBC’s Inclusion & Belonging Team provides support to the firm’s Recruitment Team by identifying strategies to recruit talent across all levels of the organization. Prior to Sandra’s role at SMBC, she was a Director at E*TRADE in Talent Management and Diversity, where she led their diversity initiatives and Leadership Development programs. She initiated 7 employee resource groups over a two-year period and facilitated a cross-business and site Diversity Council. Before joining E*TRADE, Sandra spent six years as a Talent Partner for UBS in the Wealth Management Americas Division where she focused on Performance Management, Succession Planning, and other Developmental programs. She spent 20 years at JPMorgan Chase, where she began her career in Human Resources in a variety of roles including training, HR Communications, University Relations, and Career Development. Sandra received her B.S. in Organizational Management from Nyack College, and she spent 8 years in the U.S. Army in the Military Intelligence Field.
