The event will also provide insight into internships and career opportunities in Washington, D.C., and how students can get involved in this critical work. Steven Cash's Bio: Steven Cash is the Executive Director of The Steady State, a non-profit advocacy organization of former senior national security officials. He has held senior roles across government, including at the Department of Homeland Security as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary and Deputy Chief Intelligence Officer, at the CIA as both counsel and operations officer (earning the CIA’s Medal of Merit), and on Capitol Hill with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Select Committee on Homeland Security, and the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he served as Chief Counsel to Senator Dianne Feinstein. Cash has also worked in the private sector as a consultant and attorney, served on the DNI’s Biological Sciences Experts Group, and co-chaired the DC Bar’s National Security Law Committee. A frequent commentator on national security and intelligence issues, he is a graduate of Vassar College and Yale Law School.
