You will have the unique opportunity to hear from a senior business member at SMBC. Alfredo Ugarte is the Co-Head of Latin America Debt Capital Markets at SMBC. Prior to SMBC, Alfredo worked for 9+ years in the LatAm DCM group at Credit Suisse and HSBC with primary responsibility for covering the Andean region (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile). He has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and Debt Capital Markets. Alfredo has worked on deals with Saavi Energia, FIEMEX, AES Andes, Raizen, IntercorpPeru, Interbank, Kallpa Generacion, InkiaEnergy, InRetailConsumer, InRetailShopping Malls, Cofide, Red Dorsal, Minera Cerro Verde, Republic of Argentina, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Ecuador, Ecopetrol, AI Candelaria, Banco Estado, Banco Santander, LatamAirlines, ENAP, Codelco, Falabella, etc. Alfredo holds an MBA in Investment Banking and Asset Management from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad del Pacifico.
