To the West, you will see Chicago Hall, home to language study at Vassar. Vassar offers more than 20 languages, ranging from French, German, and Spanish to those less commonly offered at small liberal arts colleges, such as Yiddish, Swahili, and Portuguese. Some of these languages are available through the Self-Instructional Language Program. In this program, students study independently while also meeting with an online language tutor and being supervised by a Vassar faculty member.
